Abd Rahim Ahmad

Rahim or known as Coach ARA is an energetic and action oriented professional learning facilitator. He carries more than 40 years of working experience in the human resource field with multi-national organizations of public listed entity.

Coach ARA started his career with Maybank  and was attached to the HR Department. Subsequently he moved to other organizations such as The Hew Strait Times Press (M)  Berhad, Arab Malaysian Securities, Padiberas Nasional Berhad, MBSB Bank and lastly Nationwide Express. He was the Chief People Officer for the last four companies that he has worked with. He was part of the team that was responsible for the transformation of PadiPadiberas Nasional, a privatized government entity and MBSB Bank, a 65-year-old organization.

Coach ARA has always been passionate about training and developing people. He has the passion of making change in people’ life for the betterment of their journey.

Academically, Coach ARA has Masters Degree in Business Administration and first degree in Social Science from the University of Malaya. Professionally, Coach ARA is a Certified Solution Focus Coach certified by the Canadian Council of Professional Certification, Executive Coach by UMCCED, International Accredited Training Professional by Specialist Management Services Sdn Bhd, Certified Professional Learning Profesional (PLF), Certified Ensync Professional Workskills Facilitator for LEAP Program, Master Traner from LawrenceWalterSeminar and HRDC Certified Trainer. He is one of the in-house trainers for Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management(MIHRM)  and was a lecturer for the Master in Human Resource Program for University Utara, City Campus, Kuala Lumpur. Coach ARA is also the Council member of MIHRM.

He has been conducting various learning program in areas of human resource management and development. Some of his most notable programs are Malaysia Employment Laws, Industrial Relations, Trade Union Management, Managing Discipline at Workplace, Training & Development, Developing Training Needs Analysis, Succession Planning, Developing KPI & Competency Framework, Sexual Harassment, How to Conduct Domestic Inquiry, Employee Relations, Amendment to the Employment Act 1955, Performance Management System, Coaching & Mentoring, Train the Trainer Program, Customer Service and Change Management. He has also frequently been invited to speak at public forum and seminar especially on human resource management and development.
