Fathimath Afiya is from the Maldives, currently residing in Malaysia with her British husband John-Khalid Brigden for the past 5 years. They work together as a husband-and-wife training team and are seeking opportunities to enhance their training career in Malaysia, Maldives and globally.
Having acquired two master’s and professional certificates in areas of learning and development, business-related subjects: social development topics such as child rights, women's rights, disaster management and protection of the environment.
With her journalism and writing career, she has written articles for newspapers, published specific expert subjects, and developed core modules such as customer service, public relations, public speaking, and communication. She is a lecturer teaching undergraduate and graduate students for twenty-plus years. To date, she had conducted workshops for students, leaders, women, and business owners.
Fathimath has worked as an international consultant in the UK, Maldives, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India in collaborative projects. Fathimath is an international speaker and has spoken at Universities like Oxford, and Boston as well as at the United Nations and at workshops and conferences.
Fathimath’s extensive knowledge and expertise in diverse fields allow her to design customised programs according to the needs of the clients. As she is an educator, facilitator, Trainer, and certified Mentor & Coach from different certified bodies, she integrates these into the learning and post-learning workshop as an approach to help the trainees to apply and retain the learning for higher performance and impact.
